Competitive Seminar brings Ravi Walia to Victoria.

The Competitive Skaters Seminar with Ravi Walia was a huge success!  Ravi Walia brought skater Eric Liu to assist and demonstrate during the VI Region competitive seminar. Both Skaters and Coaches were treated to on and off ice activities, lectures and dialogue during the busy April weekend. Thanks also to Tyler Myles, who was assisted by Ravie Cunningham, for his on ice skating skills lessons. Judy Burwash, Susan Morriss and Kelly Cruikshank offered sessions from the Program Components and  technical sides of judging and element assessment.

"Thank you Parksville, B.C. for a great seminar! Really enjoyed working with all the enthusiastic skaters!"

75 skaters in the Star 4 to Novice levels participated in the Skater Development seminar in September. Skaters came from all over the island and Powell River to experience Elvis' technical & mental preparation techniques, his wife Gladys worked on Skating Skills & Performance, fitness expert Linda Gilmour did the off ice work outs & a local dance instructor, offered some great lessons in movement.
